My current work explores a more universal concept of portraiture expressed through the figure and landscape images.
My figurative works are larger than life portraits reflecting states of being through their countenance. It these portraits I utilize sacred iconography, and symbols found in alchemy, astrology, and mysticism. I’m striving to express universal human archetypes as facets of our essential nature. This includes timeless as well as new archetypes that are manifesting in the evolution of humankind.
My landscape pieces focus structures found in urban areas, specifically on landmark or iconic buildings. My aim is to express archetypal aspects of ourselves embedded in the structures we create as an extension of our inner world.
Comprehensively, I endeavor to convey the human spirit through the human form or the soul of a place.
